George Manning House

Sir,—The picture of the proposed home for the aged, in Lyttelton street, and the outline of its provisions surely mark a moment of great achievement for the three organisations concerned. As one who has cared for elderly infirm parents for many years, I cannot commend highly enough the provision of a self-contained unit to provide nursing care for the residents when necessary. Care of this nature is often sadly lacking in homes of this nature. Congratulations to the Manchester Unity Trust Homes committee and secretary. May they be supported with the subsidy from the Minister of Health which is so vital.—Yours, etc., NURSE. June 15, 1966.
