FINAL SHOT GOOD ROTORUA PROSPECT

"Th« Press** Special Service AUCKLAND.

Final Shot looks a good prospect for the second leg, the Arawa Handicap at the Rotorua

Trotting Club’s meeting today. He has been rac-

ing well but unluckily. At his last start he almost certainly would have won at New Plymouth if he had had a better run.

After being checked twice in the straight, he finished brilliantly to be a close third. Te Kaumanawa and Kinleith should go well also. Te Kaumanawa’s failure at Cambridge on Monday night can be ignored because he had a poor run. Kinleith has not paid a dividend for some considerable time but he shaped attractively at the Kumeu club’s matinee. Disband remains a firm favourite for the first leg, the Rotorua Trotting Cup. Waitaki Hanover and Bobbinet look to be her main rivals. The weather is expected to be fine and the track will be in splendid winter order. Selections: 11 o.m. Thames Handicap: Delstar, Te Kooti.
