Century To Sobers

The West Indies captain, G. S. Sobers, completed a magnicent century when the first test against England was continued at Old Trafford today.
The tourists carried their overnight score of 343 for five to 471 for eight at lunch, when Sobers was 151 not out. The three wickets to fall in the morning’s play were those of D. Holford (32), D. W. Allan (1), and C. C. Griffith (30). F. J. Titmus took two of the wickets and D. A. Allen one.
