The Monash University Law School began teaching in 1964 and has established teaching in the following subjects: The legal system, criminal law, history (British history for law students), the law of contracts, the law of torts, constitutional law. property I. property 11. administrative law. conflicts of laws, international law. jurisprudence. and legal history. During 1967 and 1968 it is intended to establish teaching in the following additional subjects: Comparative law. commercial law. conveyancing and drafting, family law. Industrial law, wills and the administration of estates, taxation, legal persons, creditors' rights, advanced constitutional law, civil and criminal procedure, and evidence. The permanent staff of the Law School in 1966 includes 14 members of the rank of lecturer and above. One senior lectureship is vacant from July 31, 1966, following the election of the sub-dean (Mr P. G. Nash) to the foundation chair of law in the University of Papua and New Guinea. The other posts to be filled are new posts. It ts hoped that applicants for the positions now advertised will have special interests in one or more of the subjects to be developed in 1967 and t96S.
