Kabaka Of Buganda

May 27 The Kabaka (King) of Buganda, Sir Edward Mutesa, escaped from his besieged palace when it was shelled and fired by Government troops three days ago. it was announced yesterday in Parliament. The Defence Minister, Mr Felix Onama, said that it was not known whence the 41-year-old, Oxford-educated king had fled. Unconfirmed reports in Nairobi said that he was safe ind out of Uganda, but not in neighbouring Kenya.
