“Ashley Cliffs" comprises downs country on the south bank of the Ashley river about 12 miles from Rangiora.

Buildings on the property include a five-bedroomed brick bungalow, three-bed-roomed weatherboard house, woolshed, haybarn, and whare. Other improvements include sheep and cattle yards.

The sale was held by Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr W. IL Archdall.
