Lecture Tour By Theologian
The board of governors of St. John’s College, Auckland, has appointed the Rev. A. R. C. Leaney as Selwyn lecturer for 1966. Dr. Leaney will give the Selwyn lectures in Auckland on June 16. They will be repeated in Wellington between June 20 and 22, in Christchurch between June 21 and 25, and at Knox College, Dunedin, between July 12 and 14.
In addition he will lecture in Hamilton, New Plymouth and other centres. Throughout the term Dr. Leaney will lecture at St. John’s College and will visit St. John's College in Suva and the Pacific Theological College. He will be the principal lecturer at the third theological colloquium, to be held in Auckland from August 15 to August 18. He will give three lectures on the nature, authority, and interpretation of holy scripture. Dr. Leaney is the author of “A Commentary on the Gospel According to St. Luke” and “The Rule of Qumran and its Meaning.” He is also the editor of “A Guide to the Scrolls.”
