Peace In Swiss Industry
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) GENEVA. Switzerland had only three collective labour disputes last year. Two involved a stoppage of work exceeding one day The third dispute lasted only a few hours and involved workers in foreign firms. The number of workers affected amounted to 23 in all (350 the previous year), which represented a loss of 163 working days (4550 in 1964). “From these figures it can be seen that the labour peace introduced into Switzerland more than a quarter of a century ago still holds good," said a statement by the Swiss Office for Development of Trade.
