Chatham Cup Soccer
The leaders in each of the senior and second divisions, Christchurch City and New Brighton, will meet in the main match in the Chatham Cup local zone semi-finals on June 11.
City is the dominant club in Christchurch soccer and New Brighton relegated at the end of last season, is sweeping all before it in the second division. The other semi-final will be between Western and Watersiders. Both games are at Eng lish Park. The squad from which will be selected the Wellington senior team to play Canterbury on June 6 is:— Goal-keeper: P. Whiting. Backs: C. Mclvor, R. Clark. Halves: D. Wallace, A. Evans, A. Quirk, G. P. Bilby. Forwards: B. Minshull, W. Wright, A. Jeffery, B. Baker, L. Taylor, J. Young, S. Billing, M. Watson.
Match Dates.— Suggested dates for this season’s Canterbury v. Otago games are July 23 (in Dunedin), and September 10 (Christchurch). Transfer.—The mid-season transfer of B. Dent from Technical Old Boys to New Brighton was approved.
