SEARCH OF MOORS
Child Murder Victims (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MANCHESTER, May 17. Detectives are preparing to resume a search of the lonely Pennine Moors for secret graves of eight suspected child murder victims. The search started last October after the discovery of the bodies of Lesley Ann Downey, aged 10, and John Kilbride, aged 12, the victims of the convicted lan Brady. The new hunt, involving 150 police is expected to start in the next few weeks after a police survey of moorland at nearby Glossop, Whaley Bridge and at the Cheshire beauty spot of Alderley Edge.
Two children the police fear may be buried on the moors are Keith Bennett, aged 12, who vanished in June, 1964, and Pauline Reade, last seen in July, 1963. Both children lived in Manchester suburbs.
