Slight Drop In Profit The net profit of the Zealandia Soap, Candle and Trading Co., Christchurch, fell by £283 to £3981 in the year to March 31. This result was after providing £l9O less for depreciation at £2167 and £963 less for tax at £2219. The dividend is steady at 10 per cent, plus a 21 per cent bonus, and takes an unchanged £3906. The earning rate on the £31,250 capital was 12.8 per cent against 13.6 per cent last year, and the rate '«t shareholders’ funds, £75 higher at £110,324, was 3.6 per cent against last year’s 3.9 per cent.
