EXPATRIATE OFFICERS
Malaysian View
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR. May 16. The Malaysian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Lim Swee Aun, has said that the time has come to replace expatriate officers with Malaysian in commercial enterprises.
However, this did not mean that the government wanted to endanger the growth and success of private undertakings in Malaysia, he said. “In other words it will be necessary to leave certain key posts to expatriates, at least for the time or some time to come,” he told members of the National Union of Commercial Workers last night.
