FRENCHMAN GUILTY
20 Years For Kidnapping (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, May 15. Jean Jacques Casanova has been sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment in Paris for kidnapping the wife of the French aviation magnate, Mr Marcel Dassault, two ; ars ago. Two other men were sentenced to seven and five years' imprisonment respectively for implication in the crime. Casanova had pleaded guilty to kidnapping Mrs Madeleine Dassault as she returned home from a dinner party late one night in May, 1964. He admitted having written to Mr Dassault demanding a ransom of four million francs. Mrs Dassault was held for two days in a tumbledown farm near Paris. She told the Court that she was treated courteously during her “imprisonment’*
