Merino Wool Sales
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 15. While some irregularity was noticeable last week in Merino wool carrying heavy dust and fault, the market closed at rates on the average equal to those ruling at the beginning of the week, the Melbourne woolbrokers report.
Principal buyers were East Europe, Japan and the Continent, supported by the United Kingdom and local mills, and there was a 96 per cent clearance of the 15,300 bales offered.
