TELEPHONE MINISTRY
Norv-Methodists Take Part Three non-Methodist ministers had recently been added to the roster of persons preparing messages used by the Methodist Central Mission’s telephone ministry, the mission superintendent, the Rev. W. E. Faikingham, said. They are the Rev. R. A. Lowe, Anglican diocesan Director of Christian education; the Rev. D. J. Inglis, minister of Trinity Congregational Church; and the Rev. A. McLeod, minister of the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church. Although Anglican clergy had previously supplied material for the telephone ministry, it was the first time that the other churches had members on the roster, and it was the aim to include other denominations, Mr Faikingham said. “We are dealing with the whole community, and have no right to limit this to a denominational ministry.” On Thursday, three new machines were installed to handle calls for the recorded messages. These replace the three old ones which have been in constant use for the last 12 months.
