550 At Careers Evening
About MO pupils and parents attended a careers evening at the Aranui High School arranged by the parent-teacher association Experts from 21 callings spoke, each having a separate classroom. Each family was able to choose two topics, the speakers giving two lectures during the evening. A similar venture had been held at St. Andrew’s College. The headmaster (Mr W. J. A. Brittenden) said it was intended to repeat this type of evening to give an opportunity for other callings to be discussed.
