Treneglos Mishap
<N.Z. PA.-Reuter —Copyright) BEIRA (Mozambique), April 25. Beira port authorities reported today that a New Zealand operated freighter had been in collision with the tanker Joanna V which docked at Beira two weeks ago with oil for Rhodesia. The freighter was identified as the 9197-ton Treneglos, operated by the New Zealand Shipping Company. The Joanna V’s stern was reported damaged in the collision. The Joanna V was the centre of an international storm when she arrived at Beira on April 5 with oil for Rhodesia.
New Provocation.—Recent incidents in territorial waters suggested that Indonesian armed forces on the Rhio Islands had started a new phase of provocation against Malaysian and British ships of the security forces, a Far East Command spokesman said in Singapore today.— Singapore, April 25.
