Treneglos Mishap

Beira port authorities reported today that a New Zealand operated freighter had been in collision with the tanker Joanna V which docked at Beira two weeks ago with oil for Rhodesia. The freighter was identified as the 9197-ton Treneglos, operated by the New Zealand Shipping Company. The Joanna V’s stern was reported damaged in the collision. The Joanna V was the centre of an international storm when she arrived at Beira on April 5 with oil for Rhodesia.
