Sir, —“A. B. Cedarians” assessment of the character and capabilities of the incomparable French President certainly cancels out whatever value the rest of his contribution may have added. Having noted a few points myself during two world wars, I would consider anyone only an amateur who did not recognise that this Frenchman is the strong man of Europe, and have no hesitation in saying, long live de Gaulle.— Yours, etc.,
