106-Year-Old Woman Dies

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 11. A Fijian woman who was 14 in 1874 when King Seru Cakabau and other Fijian chiefs ceded their lands and people to Queen Victoria has died at Domoninuki, Savusavu, Vanua Levu. She was Karisitiana Diraraburogi, aged 106. Karisitiana was buried today after a memorial service at Domoninuki.
