Second Frost A three-degree frost, the second to be recorded in Christchurch this year, was recorded at Harewood yesterday morning. A two-degree frost was recorded on April 4. In spite of brilliant sunshine and an almost cloudless sky, temperatures did not rise above 61 degrees throughout the day. At 6 a.m. the temperature at Harewood was 40 degrees, rising to 47 degrees at 9 a.m. A light to moderate north-easterly wind began about 10 a.in. The temperature was 60 degrees at noon, and the same temperature was recorded at 3 p.m. At 4.15 the temperature gauge on the Government Life building registered 61 degrees.
