SNOW GLOBE' SOLD
To Leave For U.S. Soon
Snow Globe, which is among the qualifiers for the New Zealand trotting championship final to be run at Addington Raceway next Saturday week, is unlikely to race in New Zealand again. Mr H. A. Anderton's Johnny Globe mare has been sold to the successful American trainerdriver, E. Cobb.
Snow Globe's Templeton trainer. D G. Nyhan, has not yet received final instructions for her transport, but she is booked for the United States on a 20-horse airlift, tentatively due to leave Auckland next Saturday. The flight may be re-routed through Christchurch. The Gore-trained halfbrothers, Procella and Query, have also been sold to American interests. Procella, a seven - year - old Stormyway gelding, will go to the New York trainer. F. Gerry. Query, a five-year-old gelded son of ! Meadow Chief and Oleda Derby, has been bought by Mr N. Simpson, who acted for the syndicate which bought Orbiter. The sale of Procella and Query was negotiated by the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Ltd.
The names of all the horses booked on next Saturday’s flight, which will begin in Australia, are not yet available. The known New Zealand horses besides Snow Globe, Procella and Query are Tactile, Charlesworth and Tutankhamen.
