Wedding Day In Gaol
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 10. A woman who told Mr J. R. Drummond, S.M., that she was to have been married this afternoon, was gaoled for a month for theft. Millie Api, a 28-year-old unemployed waitress, pleaded guilty, with a 20-year-old unemployed nurse, Teena Allen, to stealing a basket worth 19s 6d and a duffle bag worth 17s 6d from Auckland department stores. Allen, who also pleaded guilty, was gaoled for a month.
