MY CALL FAVOURED IN FEILDING CUP

‘ Tht Press-' Special Service WELLINGTON. My Call, which runs near the front, will be well suited by the Feilding track and the distance of the Feilding Cup, first leg of the T.A.B. double today. Since his last three starts have resulted in close placings In top company, My Call is the likely favourite in a strong field. Further evident*" of My Call s ability came <d the Foxton matinee meeting on Monday when he easily won the mile and a quarter trial, beating Shut, Baloo and Dalvui by five lengths. Shut is among the favoured runners at Wairarapa and Dalvui is one of My Call’s rivals at Feilding. Plush and Roman Consul look the hard ones for Mv Call today Plush beat My Call by a nose at their last starts, and even at the revised weights would probably beat him again if they were the only two in the race. Plush, however, usually gets back in a field, so My Call will have the advantage in this respect. HARD TO BEAT Roman Consul' has not started • Ince the Wanganui meeting, where he ran a first and fifth. On the way he ran at the matinee on Monday he is going to be a difficult horse to beat. The major handicap is his wide draw. Prince Hagen and Home on the Range, both just caught in the last few strides at Manawatu, and Serena, which won a hack race easily under 8-13 the same day, will be the ones to extend Might. Serena will be having her first start in open company. The weather has been fine and the track is in good order.
