Australian support for Scotland as the venue for the 1970 British Commonwealth Games was warmly welcomed in Edinburgh by the chairman of the Games Council for Scotland, Mr Herbert Brechin. “This is a most* important statement," Mr Brechin said. “I am tremendously bucked by it.” The final decision on the venue will be taken at this year's Games in Jamaica. Darts Tour.—A 23-strong Maor darts team has left Auckland to play a number of matches in New South Wale* and Queensi land.
