Performance In N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 6. Plans have been completed for the presentation of Benjamin Britten’s comic opera “Albert Herring,” it was announced today by the chairman of the board of directors of the New Zealand Opera Company, Mr F. Turnovsky. The opera will be presented at the Auckland Festival from May 18 to 25 and later in Wellington. Included in the cast are the singers, Peter Baillie, Heather Begg, Elisabeth Hellawell, Bertha Rawlinson, Angela Shaw and Grant Dickson. “With the co-operation of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation it has been possible to obtain the services of Laszlo Heltay; associate conductor of the N.Z.B.C. Symphony Orchestra, who is no stranger to this work and the other Britten operas,” he said.
