PARACHUTE TRAINING

All Pass With Honours (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 6. Making 160 parachute drops in five weeks, 19 soldiers and one airman passed out of the parachute training school at the R.N.Z.A.F. base, Auckland, with honours today. The soldiers were special air service troops of the Ist Ranger Squadron, based at Papakura, and the airman took the course as part of his parachute jumping instructor training. The course, which was the third to be run at the school, was the first to use the R.N.Z.A.F. Hercules for practice jumps.

An R.N.Z.A.F. spokesman said there were no injuries during the 160 drops, and all candidates passed.
