Peak Profit For U.E. Box

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 6. Consolidated net profit of the United Empire Box Company, Auckland, exceeded £500,000 in the year to March 31, according to a preliminary statement. Last year consolidated profit was £450,231, a record for the company. Sales in the latest year improved from £11,006,769 to more than £l2m. Formal notice of the takeover offer by United Empire Box is expected to be received by directors of Ross and Glendining tomorrow, the N.Z.P.A. reported from Dunedin today.
