Shrouding Fee On Meters The Canterbury Chamber of Commerce last evening decided to support the Canterbury Sub-Contractors’ Association and the Canterbury Master Builders’ Association in a joint approach to the City Council to ask if the 10s a day shrouding charge for parking meters could be reduced. The meters are shrouded during some construction operations. Mr J. M. Tocker, the chairman of the chamber’s executive committee, said that the 10s a day fee charged to subcontractors for shrouding was double what could be earned bv a parking meter in the city.
