Motel Service Defended
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, April 4. A comment that New Zealand had too many “backyard” motels by Mr A. Taylor, president of an Australian motel group, was in questionable taste, Mrs L. M. Robertson, Dominion president of the Motel Federation, said today. “Mr Taylor is aware of an important announcement to be released by the federation this week," she said. “The federation regards quality, and not size, as the most important factor. We are proud of the high standard of service given by New Zealand motels. Economics is not the sole concern. New Zealand’s motels can rightfully claim prestige standing by any standards.”
