Organisation Formed (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 5. The formation of a new road transport organisation whose members’ assets, it was stated, would exceed £lOO million, was announced today. “Federated Road Transport Organisations of New Zealand represent a total of 6100 members who operate more than 21,000 licensed vehicles on New Zealand roads,” the first president of the organisation (Mr R. A. Macky) said. “The organisation is the first national embodiment of all licensed transport operators and, as such, brings together the companies and individuals who operate the country’s truck, omnibus, service coach, rental and taxi fleets,” he said. Members of the organisation include the Road Transport Alliance, the Carriers’ Federation, the Road Passenger Services Association, the Rental Vehicle Proprietors’ Association and the Taxi Proprietors’ Federation.
