Chiave d’Oro Best At Levin
■ "The Press’’ Special Service LEVIN. Chiave d’Oro and Mukupai were the best trialists at Levin yesterday morning and of the two the former worked the better. Work was done 15 feet out on the course proper, which was easy. Chiave d’Oro (W. D. Skelton) appeared to be doing better than Mukupai (K. A. Aitken) at the finish of six furlongs in Imin 19 4-ssec, the final five in Imin 6 2-ssec, the last half-mile in 52 2-ssec. They Told Me (T. Baylis) scampered over three furlongs in 39sec, the final two in 24 2-ssec. She is fit for the Martinborough Handicap at Tauherenikaii, but she meets i a strong field. Spirit Hill (K. A. Aitken) ran soundly over half a mile in 51 l-ssec, the final three i furlongs in 39sec. -1,
