Mediation Bv Govt. fN.Z Presi Association) WELLINGTON, April 5. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today the onlypower the Government had in the siting of Hamilton City Councils sewage treatment plant was the power of persuasion. He spent over an hour today with an eight-man deputation from Hamilton City Council. The New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairy Company and the Waipa County Council object to the proposed siting of the plant. “I feel the parties concerned have been too mu® at arms’ length and should get around the table to see if they can settle their differences." said Mr Holyoake. He said Dr. Rogers, Mayor of Hamilton, had assured him the council was prepared to meet the dairy company.
