Undertaking By Minister '-V Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 5. The Minister of Customs (Mr Shelton) said today he intended to ensure import control did not hamper the New Zealand manufacture of artificial limbs. He was commenting on criticism of licensing procedures during the annual meeting of the War Amputees’ Association. “Both the Comptroller of. Customs and 1 are already! aware that, in a few cases, de-' lays have been occurring in; approving applications for component parts," he said. “But arrangements are already in train to give collectors of customs at the various ports involved, authority to authorise applications of this: nature immediately they are received."
