Loan—Then Silence
Discussion on the finance committee’s report at the meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union's management committee was hurriedly cut short after the president. Mr A. K. Johnson, announced that Albion had been granted a loan of £3OOO. As soon as he had said this there was some urgent whispering with the treasurer (Mr R. W. Thomas), and the meeting quickly went on with other business.
