Decimal currency should be abolished is the unanimous opinion Of the Wellington Housewives’ Association. Senior citizens in particular would find it difficult to adjust, said one member, but the situation was recognised as being beyond alteration. Voting was against extended drinking hours. Objection was also raised to the printing of the list of banned books. It was said that this only provided extra incentive to read the books.
