Longer Stay For Chi-Chi
fN.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MOSCOW, April 5.
Chi-Chi, London Zoo’s reluctant panda bride, will stay in Moscow for the summer to get to know her prospective bridegroom better. Chi-Chi came to Moscow three weeks ago to meet AnAn, the only male panda in Europe, on an expedition which it was hoped would lead to mating. But when they were put together at Moscow zoo last week, the pandas grew so aggressive that they had to be separated.
Chi-Chi and An-An will continue to live next door to each other and will be separated only by a wire mesh.
