Mr L. Kay, of the department of electrical engineering at the University of Canterbury, has been transferred to membership of the Institute of Electrical Engineers from associateship. Mr L. N. Ross, a consulting public accountant in Auckland, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Bank of New Zealand.—(P.A.) Mr E. J. Haughey, of Wellington, has been appointed a judge of the Maori Land Court.—(P.A.)
