FRACTURED SESAMOID
Knight Of York Ends Career Knight of York, which broke down during the running of the April High-weight at Rangiora last Friday, will not race again. The five-year-old Isaac of York gelding fractured the sesamoid bones in his near fore leg. Knight of York, which was prepared at Riccarton by W. A. Welton, won three races in the colours of Mrs H. B. Westenra. Gee Jay is another Weltontrained galloper which will be out of action for a time. This Dunedin-owned Astraeus gelding—he is raced by Messrs G. H. and R. J. Barton—has developed a wind affliction. He is to be operated on tomorrow.
