MISSING DANE
Still No Trace (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 4. After a thorough search of the rugged Lords river area today, search parties had not found any trace of the deerstalker, Tony Christensen, aged about 30, a Dane, who has been missing in the area since Thursday. The search would continue tomorrow but if Mr Christensen was not found there was a “strong possibility” that the search parties would come out tomorrow night, the superintendent of the Invercargill police, Mr J. H. Alty, said tonight. Ten men were flown into the area today bringing the total number of searchers to about 45. They have been split into several parties. An outboard motor taken into the area on Sunday enabled one party to go as far up Lords river as possible. Another party searched the coast. Seven fishing boats joined the search today. Three policemen, a police dog and a Forest Service Ranger from Halfmoon Bay are leading the search.
