S. Burt Set For Speedway Double

The veteran competitor, S. Burt, appears destined to become the first to win a South Island speedway title in both motor-cycle and three-quarter midget car competitions. His fine win in the eight-lap scratch race for three-quar-ter midget racing cars at Templeton on Monday night gave him enough points to ensure victory in the South Island championship, although there are still two points meetings to go before the end of the season.

Burt won the South Island solo motor-cycle title in 1963. Results were:-MOTOR-CYCLES
