MAGISTRATE’S COURT Sent For Trial On Burglary Charge

After jumping from a moving car, the accused ran down Wordsworth street, jumped a fence, and continued running across two properties, while his driverless vehicle careered on down Orbell street, smashed through a fence, and hit a house, said Detective-Ser-geant N. J. Stokes in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Robin Michael Francis Sheedy, aged 22, a workman (Mr D. H. Stringer), was appearing before Messrs C. E. Wilkins and R. H. Harris, Justices of the Peace. Suspicious, he gave chase. The car increased speed, turning corners with tyres screaming. In Orbell street the driver jumped out. The witness said that after being chased across two properties, the accused stopped and turned. The accused said he had run off because he was a disqualified driver.
