OXFORD RED CROSS
Fifteen cartons of clothing, food for meals on wheels and £llO were sent to the North Canterbury Centre of the Red Cross Society from the subcentre at Oxford. This was reported at the recent annual meeting. Membership had increased to 150 and the Junior Red Cross has 35 members.
The president (Mrs M. H. Johnston) congratulated members on their response to the special appeal for the Samoan hurricane relief fund when £3O had been collected in Oxford.
