FASHION FINALS

Fourteen finalists in the national men’s wear week competition will parade before a panel of judges at noon today. There are seven finalists in each section, over 21 and under 21, and the winners of each will receive a £lOO wardrobe. So that the winners can be chosen during 3ZB’s lunch programme today, two additional finalists were selected yesterday afternoon. They were Mr L. Lloyd, under 21, and Mr N. Johnson, over 21. Mr Lloyd wore a charcoal worsted suit with vertical stripes. The suit was singlebreasted and the coat had two side vents. His trousers were tapered, pleatless and cuffless and his black slip-on shoes were high-fronted. Mr Johnson wore a black and white salt and pepper worsted suit, with a light blue shirt. His suit was singlebreasted with slanting side pockets and the trousers were tapered, pleatless and cuffless. A deep red pocket handkerchief matched his tie and the grey felt hat he was wearing had a narrow brim and black petersham band. Winners of the lunch-time judging were Mr T. Menses, under 21, and Mr R. Davis, over 21. Mr Menses’ black and white pick and pick suit featured a draped shawl-collar coat with one button fastening and tapered trousers. The material was a mixture of silk and wool which gave the suit a light sheen. He wore a white shirt with matching tie and black soft leather shoes. Mr Davis wore a black and grey worsted suit in hairline stripe. It was single-breasted with raised seams and his trousers were plain-fronted and had no cuffs.
