HAND-OVER DELAYED
Further Trial For Aranui (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, March 24. The official hand-over of the new £2 million Cook Strait ferry, Aranui, has been further delayed. A spokesman for the builders, Messrs Vickers Shipbuilding, Ltd., at Newcastle-on-Tyne, said this week that no new delivery date had been fixed-
It is understood that the delay has been caused by trouble with the ship’s bow propeller and that further trials will have to be held.
