U.K. Resumes Arms Sales

LONDON, March 22
Britain will resume the sale of arms to India and Pakistan, the Commonwealth Relations Office announced today. “Since the outbreak of fighting between India and Pakistan in September, 1965. certain applications for licences for the export of arms to these two countries have been held in suspense,’* a statement said.
“Now that the armed personnel of the two sides have withdrawn to the positions held by them before August 5, 1965, Her Majesty’s Government has decided to return to their normal practice in regard to the sale of arms to these two countries.”
