AUCKLAND, March 23
United Empire Box Company, Ltd.. Auckland, has sold its Wellington plastics division to Consolidated Plastic Industries (N.Z.), LtdAuckland.
The purchase will be satisfied by the issue of 225,000 ordinary 10s Consolidated Plastics shares on April 1. The shares have a current market price of 30s. The two companies have maintained close trade relations for several years.
Directors of the two companies consider that better economic use of the joint resources of the two companies will be achieved by the sale. The Wellington division, U.E.B. Plastics, will continue manufacturing, but will trade under a new name.
