Ship Has Trouble
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Mar. 23.
The Port liner, Port Jackson, which developed machinery trouble about two weeks ago, is sailing towards Wellington on one engine and should arrive in port at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
The ship is coming from the United Kingdom in ballast and was originally scheduled to call first at Whangarei. An urgent call to pick up a shipment of butter booked for her has meant the rerouting of another ship to load the cargo. The Port Jackson will now load at Wellington, and undergo repairs here.
