Load Of Fruit
The Shaw Savill cargo ship Romanic sailed from Nelson on Tuesday carrying a record 230,000 cases of apples, the manager of the Nelson branch of the Apple and Pear Board. Mr W. G. Turner, said yesterday. The previous record was 178,000 cases. The Romanic is bound for Glasgow, Liverpool, Le Havre, Antwerp and Hamburg.—(P.A.)
