(N.Z. Press Association)
DANNEVIRKE, March 1
The Dannevirke Facial Eczema Committee announced today that spore counts have risen considerably since last week’s rain throughout the area between Waipukurau to Pahiatua, and. unless, a distinct fall in temperatures follows today’s rain, conditions could become dangerous. “Farmers are urged to assess their own properties, and those in facial eczemaprone areas should consider precautionary measures,” says the committee. Spore counts on Auckland and Northland pastures were still running at a dangerous level, the Agriculture Department said today.
