Nkrumah
Sir.—-The appalling account of the interference of the U.S.A, in the affairs of other countries has been mentioned by “Justice” in today’s issue.
The methods adopted are diabolical. It has been written up for all to read in a book “The Invisible Government” by Wise and Ross. Murder, bribery and the whole gamut of unethical standards are part of the game. The fact that many of the ventures are complete failures does not deter the C.I.A. from trying again. The complete fiasco of the Bay of Pigs in Cuba should have been an object lesson. But since then there has been interference in Burma. Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Gautemala, Dominica, the Congo, and now with President Nkrumah. The extraordinary part of it is that the C.I.A. is independent of the Government of the U.S.A., and can go about the world pursuing its black record.—Yours, etc., P.J.A. March 1, 1966.
